VCLR is one of many Roundtables across Canada whose mandate is to support & promote children's literature. We are teachers, librarians, authors, illustrators, parents, and children's book industry professionals.

We host kids' book launches and meet the author/illustrator evenings, literature-related educational programs like "Choosing Books for Reluctant Readers", and programs for the next generation of creators.

We contribute to a national annual Information Book Award & liaison with groups like The Canadian Children's Book Centre.
