Victoria Children's Roundtable January: Pub Night

January: Pub Night
Monday, January 16. 7:00 pm.
Smith’s Pub, 777 Courtney Street (please note the location change)
No drop-in fee.
Everyone is welcome to bring a few children’s or teens’ books they are excited about and want to talk about, but this is totally optional. Feel free to just come and listen! People can order off the menu (snacks, dinner, drinks, whatever suits your fancy).  It’s a casual way to meet up with other people who are interested in all aspects of literature for young people.

February: How to Find a Publisher for Your Children’s Book
Monday, February 20.  Doors open at 7:00 pm for a 7:30 start.
Saanich Centennial Branch of the Greater Victoria Public Library, 3110 Tillicum Road (next to Pearkes Arena)
Drop-in $7/$5 for students. VCLR members free.

Volunteers Wanted
The VCLR Steering Committee is always looking for helpers to run this show!  In June, I will have completed three years as the committee chair. I will be moving on to other volunteer work in the community, and I know that this committee will keep VCLR running strong.

Please contact us if you are interested in getting more involved with the promotion of children’s literature and local writers through the Victoria Children’s Literature Roundtable.

2017 Events
VCLR events are planned on the third Monday of each month through until June.  However, the May event may be tied to Canadian Children’s Book Week, which is a little earlier in the month.  Mark your calendars and watch for details!
