Monique’s presentation will be a sharing and storytelling time focusing on Indigenous children’s literature. She will explore the importance of children having their lived experience reflected on the pages, and why factors that foster resilience are ideally woven into all books for Indigenous children. The role Indigenous children’s literature plays in reconciliation will also be discussed.
